Just another week
here in the great Ghana Kumasi Mission. This week just flew by... But it was
somehow a successful week. In Obuasi we do a lot of finding... like everyday
our plans don't work out and we end up just finding haha! It’s cool though! I
think I've taught the restoration more in these past two weeks then I have my
whole freakin' mission haha!
This week we gained
a steady teaching pool. We found a man
named Claytus. He only has one leg. We taught him at the home of his friend and
he accepted the message very well. He didn't have a phone but he told us that
we pass by where he stays all the time... so it was cool.
Later that day we
found an 18-year-old girl named Marion. She accepted our message VERY well and
has even been reading the Book of Mormon, like on her own, just reading because
she likes it! Next thing you know Claytus
comes and says "I told you, you always pass here" haha! Marion is his
daughter! DIVINE DESIGN hahaha! So they’ve been doing great and Marion came to
church and found out her best f riend is our other investigator that came to
church! Claytus didn't come because his
disability. So, that’s ok!
Anyway, I read a
book by President Russell M. Nelson called “Accomplish the Impossible.” It was so good I read it in 3 days haha! Man you can learn a lot from that book. One quote that I liked from it is; "Peace can come to all who choose to
walk in the ways of the Master. His invitation is expressed in three loving
words. "COME, FOLLOW ME."
Later I was studying in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi 27. Jesus Christ asks, "What Manner of men ought ye to be? verily I say unto you, even as
I am."
Pretty powerful! I hope and pray we all choose to follow Him
and become even as He is.
Love you all!
