WOW! What a week!
Seriously! Everything here in Techiman Ghana is sick!! This place has something
new for you to see everyday! hahaha!! The mission is sweet! Gotta love the mission life! There's nothing
like getting to eat in the homes of families here in Ghana. The food is coming
along. I am slowly progressing with fufu
and Banku. For those of you that have
finally had a softening of heart to actually read my missionary weekly emails,
fufu and banku is a blob of yam and casara (similar looking to a potato) and you
put it in your mouth and swallow it. Also they have some stews with fish that
are STELLAR! haha!! Gotta love it. But for real, I'm getting use to fufu and
stuff.
As for teaching
and our investigators, everything is going great. Our teaching pool is awesome. Everyone we meet
loves to listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ! It's can be hard to get them to
read the Book of Mormon, but when they do they really understand the message.
The power that the Book of Mormon has is real! It truly does testify of
everything this gospel has to offer. For those of you who are reading this, READ
THE BOOK OF MORMON. It's changed my life!
Asonte couldn’t be
baptized this weekend because of conference. They do confirmations in
sacrament, so we didn’t want to have him be baptized for a whole week and not be
confirmed. So this week we hope that everything works out, he also said that if
he likes the baptism he wants his son to be baptized as well!! WOOT WOOT!
hahah!
How about
Conference this weekend, huh? There were so many things I learned, also some
awesome one-liners I heard as well. The talk President Uchtdorf gave in the Saturday
morning session was amazing. Something that really stuck out to me was “Two
reasons we should turn to the Lord.” 1) It makes your life better and 2) It
makes other’s lives better! I testify
that what he said is true! It’s
happening in my life as I write and you read!
Freida...My Conference Buddy!
Anyway Ghana is a
money place! It’s the holy land!!! I
love every single one of you guys! Read
the Book of Mormon!
